Approval of Minutes:

Consider adopting the minutes for the February 26, 2018 Regular Business Meeting, and dispense with the reading of the minutes.

Second Consideration/Adoption of the Following Appropriation Ordinances:

Police Department – Vehicle Purchase –

$13,803 to provide funding for a used vehicle for the Detective Division of the Police Department.

Police Department – Vehicle Purchase –

$6,000 to provide funding for a used vehicle for the Detective Division of the Police Department.

Economic Development Website Redesign:

$7,500 for website redesign costs for the Economic Development website.

Tourism Visitors Guide:

$13,000 for redesign costs related to the Tourism Visitor Guides.

Red Cross Month:

Consider naming March, 2018 as Red Cross Month in the City of Waynesboro, and present the proclamation to Mr. Bill Brent, Executive Director, American Red Cross.

PUBLIC HEARING AND COUNCIL ACTION

Conditional Use Permit – 2601 and 2611 West Main Street:

Hold a public hearing to receive public comments and consider introducing an ordinance granting a conditional use permit request by Carl Kerby, 3 Flag LTD, to allow townhouse or multifamily use in the H-B Highway Business District at an unimproved property on Village Drive, behind 2601 and 2611 West Main Street.

Authorization to Issue General Obligation Debt for WHS Project:

Hold a public hearing to receive public comments and consider introducing an ordinance authorizing the issuance of General Obligation Debt not to exceed $21.5 million in principal for the Waynesboro High School Renovation Project.

2018 City of Waynesboro Comprehensive Plan:

Hold a public hearing to receive public comments and consider introducing an ordinance adopting the City’s 2018 Comprehensive Plan.

Blue Ridge Community College Annual Report:

Receive a presentation from Dr. Downey regarding the Blue Ridge Community College’s 2017 Annual Report.

Consider appointing a candidate to the Regional Youth Commission for an unexpired three-year term ending August 31, 2020.

Closed Meeting:

Discuss the disposition of real property, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the negotiating strategy of the public body, as authorized by section 2.2-3711(A)(3) of the Freedom of Information Act, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended.  The subject matter of the meeting is real estate owned by the local government.
