Approval of Minutes:

Consider adopting the minutes for the March 26, 2018 Regular Business Meeting, and dispense with the reading of the minutes.

Second Consideration/Adoption of the Following Appropriation Ordinances:

Introduced ordinances:

i. Public Works – Paving Expenditures - $105,000.
ii. School Title II Federal Grant - $8,000
iii. School Title I Federal Grant - $25,000.
iv. School Perkins Career and Tech Grant - $7,780
v. School Adult Education and Literacy Federal Grant - $16,654.

Personal Property Tax Refund:

Consider a request from the Commissioner of the Revenue to refund 2017 business personal property taxes to a business  in the amount  of $1,847.39 plus interest due to a corrected assessment.

PROCLAMATION – CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH:

Consider naming April, 2018 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in the City of Waynesboro.

PROCLAMATION - FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY:

Consider acknowledging the Friends of the Waynesboro Public Library.
6.

PRESENTATION – SHENANDOAH VALLEY SOCIAL SERVICES:

Receive a presentation regarding the Shenandoah Valley Social Services annual report.

APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE – GENERAL FUND:

 Consider introducing an ordinance appropriating $8,000 from the Unassigned Fund Balance to replenish the undesignated operating contingency in the General Fund.

APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE – PARKS AND RECREATION:

Consider introducing an ordinance appropriating $30,000 from the Governmental Facilities Maintenance Reserve to the Parks and Recreation Fiscal Year 2018 Operating Budget for the installation of HVAC system to serve a portion of the first floor of the Rosenwald Community Building.

Consider introducing an ordinance appropriating a project Hope Grant, in the amount of $25,000, to the School Funds for tutoring homeless students and associated transportation costs.
