Consider adopting the minutes for the April 5, 2017 Budget Work Session and the April 10, 2017 Regular Business Meeting, and dispense with the reading of the minutes.

Conduct a public hearing and receive comment on the Proposed Annual Operating Budget for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2018.

Calendar Year 2017 Proposed Tax Rate Public Hearing:

Conduct a public hearing to receive comment and consider introducing an ordinance imposing taxes for the calendar year 2017 on property and persons, for the payment of interest on the City debt, for the support of City government, for the maintenance of the public schools, and for other expenses providing for the assessment of persons and property, for the collection of taxes, revenues, assessments and imposing penalties for the failure to comply with the provisions hereof.

Water and Sewer Rate Amendments Public Hearing:

Conduct a public hearing to receive comment and consider introducing an ordinance amending Sections 86-28(a)(1), 86-28(a)(2), and 86-139(a) if the Code of the City of Waynesboro to increase water utility service charges, fees, and rates and sewer utility service charges and rates.
