Serve on the Disability and Aging Board for Independence.

The City of Waynesboro, Virginia is seeking City residents to serve on the newly created Disability and Aging Board for Independence.  DABI shall meet as needed to assess, evaluate, and recommend to City Council needs and resources relative to seniors and those with disabilities. They shall be responsible for initiating and supporting efforts to increase the visibility of these residents in the community, including them in the life of the city and for recognizing their contributions to the community.   The City Council will appoint nine (9) members: three representing the senior population; three representing  persons with disabilities; and three representing agencies, businesses, or non-profits.  Applicants must be residents of the City of Waynesboro.  Applications are available on the City’s website, www.waynesboro.va.us, or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at 540-942-6669 or email.  For more information or for any questions, you may contact Ms. Gayle Brunk of Valley Associates.
