  4. Midday Music: A Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger

    Celebrate Pete Seeger's birthday with a screening of a concert held in his honor at New York’s Lincoln Center. Folk icon and civil rights activist Pete Seeger – who popularized songs like “If I Had a Hammer,” “Turn! Turn! Turn!” and “We Shall Overcome” – died at age 94 in 2014. The concert features commentary and performances by Judy Collins, Holly Near, Dar Williams, Dan Zanes, Tom Chapin and the Chapin Sisters, Sarah Lee Guthrie, Johnny Irion, and Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. A light lunch and birthday cake will be provided.
