Recent Development Projects
PGI Announces Expansion
Polymer Group Inc. (PGI), a leading global engineered materials company, focused primarily on the production of nonwovens for the hygiene, wipes, medical, and industrial markets, has announced it will expand its Waynesboro VA facility. The $65million expansion will add 41 new jobs to the facility.
Waynesboro Town Center
Waynesboro’s newest retail complex features local and national retail stores and restaurants. Located at Exit 94 off Interstate 64, the center is only minutes from downtown and is adjacent to the world famous P. Buckley Moss Museum

Best Western Inn & Suites Conference Center
In 2007, the Best Western Inn & Suites opened as Waynesboro’s first hotel conference center. With over 5,500 square feet of meeting space, videoconferencing, and luxurious new suites, the conference center capitalizes on Waynesboro’s location at the I-81 and I-64 crossroads.
Heritage Museum Redevelopment Project
Located on the most prominent corner in downtown Waynesboro, the Heritage Museum redevelopment project recently won a Valley Conservation Council Better Models of Development Award for excellence in adaptive reuse. Built in 1908, the former First National Bank of Waynesboro has been restored to house the Waynesboro Heritage Museum on the first floor and six downtown apartments on the second.

Shenandoah Valley Art Center
The Shenandoah Valley Art Center recently completed a downtown renovation project. Located in the heart of downtown, the center features regular exhibits, show room space, and studios.
