Officer Bill Russell has been presented with the Departments Lifesaving Medal and Plaque. On February 28, 2010 Officer Russell was dispatched to conduct a welfare check on an elderly woman. After entering the residence he located the elderly woman lying on the floor without a pulse and immediately started lifesaving efforts. He attempted to utilize the defibrillator which indicated no shock at which time he started chest compressions and continued until rescue personnel arrived and took over. The woman was secured and transported to Augusta Health.

Officer Vincent Donald has been presented with the Departments Lifesaving Medal and Plaque. On February 10, 2010 Officer Donald was dispatched to a call for an unresponsive elderly man. Upon arrival he located the man whom had collapsed outside of his residence from clearing snow and immediately started lifesaving efforts. He continued CPR until advance lifesaving support from the Waynesboro Fire Department was given. The elderly man was secured and transported to Augusta Health.
