The meeting on February 28th was the first of two opportunities for the public to provide input and comments on needs related to the City of Waynesboro’s CDBG program. The City intends to hold another public needs meeting during the month of March or April 2023. Once the City decides on the location of this meeting, the City will duly advertise this meeting and provide details as to the date, time, and location of the meeting. 

The City expects to publish a summary of its proposed Annual Action Plan for FY 2023 on or before June 15, 2023. A copy of the document will be placed on public display for a thirty (30) day review period beginning on or before July 1, 2023. A public hearing will be duly advertised and conducted to present the proposed plan to the public. The City will consider comments on the proposed plan prior to adoption by the Waynesboro City Council on or before August 10, 2023. Proper notice of the display date and subsequent public hearing will be properly advertised. The City intends to submit its FY 2023 Annual Action Plan to HUD on or before August 14, 2023.
