Official Voting Information

The Constitution of Virginia requires you to be registered in the ward in which you live in order to vote. In order to be eligible to vote in the November 5th, 2013 General Election, you must be registered no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, October 15th, 2013. Anyone wishing to vote in this election may do so. The following offices will be on the ballot:
  • Attorney General
  • Commissioner of Revenue
  • Commonwealth’s Attorney
  • Governor
  • House of Delegates - 20th District
  • Lieutenant Governor
  • Sheriff
  • Treasurer
Also, for the convenience of the citizens the Voter Registration Office will be open on Saturday, October 26, 2013 and Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. for the purpose of absentee voting. November 2, 2013 is the last day in which a voter may cast an absentee ballot in person. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 is the last day in which an absentee ballot can be mailed.

All citizens are encouraged to register. Remember, “Always vote and be counted!” Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. for all elections.
