Constitution Park

Parks, playgrounds, and shelters remain open to the public.

Shelter Reservations for the 2021 calendar year will be accepted beginning at 9:00am January 4, 2021. Reservations should be made online as Rosenwald Community Center remains closed to the public.

Land for this park was donated in part by E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company. The park has been the location of numerous special events including concerts, festivals, car shows, and Civil War reenactments. In addition, Constitution Park is also home to the Waynesboro’s Farmers Market, numerous soccer activities, and two shelters. This site was also designated as Virginia's first Urban Trout Fishery.

Reservable Facilities

Pavilion

The 35-by-60 foot shelter typically houses 3 picnic tables and 8 buffet tables (exact number is not guaranteed). This shelter currently has electricity, but no grill and no water. Port-a-potties are on site during the summer.

Dominion Shelter

The 24-by-36 foot shelter is located along the South River, across the street from Constitution Park Pavilion and typically houses 4 picnic tables (exact number is not guaranteed). This shelter currently has electricity, but no grill no water and no restrooms.
