Constitution Park

Located at 101 Short Street (large parking lot/Dominion Shelter Parking) 
or 207 E. Main Street (Arch Avenue Parking/Pavilion Parking)

Land for this park was donated in part by E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company. The park has been the location of numerous special events including concerts, festivals, car shows, and Civil War reenactments. In addition, Constitution Park is also home to the Waynesboro’s Farmers Market, numerous soccer activities, and two shelters. This site was also designated as Virginia's first Urban Trout Fishery.

ProjectGrows operates a farmer's market at Constitution Park each Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to Noon from May to September. The market offers in-person shopping as well as online order pickups. Check out their website for more information.

Reservable Facilities 
We encourage you to visit shelter locations prior to your reservation to confirm the number of tables and facilities actually available for your use. Parks and Recreation does not supply additional tables and chairs for any rental. 


Pavilion

The 35-by-60 foot shelter contains no picnic tables. This shelter currently has electricity, but no grill and no water. Contact Parks and Recreation to check availability. 

Dominion Shelter

The 24-by-36 foot shelter is located along the South River, across the street from Constitution Park Pavilion and
 typically houses 4 picnic tables (exact number is not guaranteed). Electricity is available by request (requires key). There is no grill, no water, and no restrooms.
