The City of Waynesboro Public Works Day ’17 is a one-day event taking place on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 5 - 8 PM at our Operations Location 900 Essex Avenue, just across from North Park at 2nd Street. This will mark the eighteenth year that the Waynesboro Department of Public Works has celebrated National Public Works Week with a special Friday event. Public Works Week is an annual nationwide event signed into law by John F. Kennedy in 1962 to help educate people of the vital role of local public works departments. Our theme will be: “Public Works Connects Us”. Lots of activities for the family to include:Tie-Dye T-shirts, Toilet Toss, Meter Toss, Pipes Playground, food vendors: Strites Donuts, Rick’s Barbecue and much more.
