Prevention & Safety
It is the City of Waynesboro's Fire Prevention and Safety Division’s mission to reduce the factors which contribute to the cause of fire, and protect lives and property. In work towards providing a fire safe environment, the Waynesboro Fire Prevention Division offers a variety of programs.

The Fire and Life Safety Division offers many programs that range from school programs, public education, station tours, and home inspections. The Inspections Division is mainly directed towards the prevention of fire and other safety risks at businesses, offering online permit applications, inspection requests, and on site inspections.
