Virginia Inland Port is located in Front Royal off Interstate 81, just 85 miles north of Waynesboro. The International Port Hampton Roads (185 miles) is the largest natural deep water harbor in the world. Rail
Norfolk Southern Corporation and
CSX Transportation Inc. offer freight service in Waynesboro.
AMTRAK passenger service is available in Staunton and Charlottesville.
Roads
Interstate 64 runs through the southwest section of the city and connects with Interstate 81 just 8 miles north of the city. Two US primary roads, 250 and 340, intersect the city.
