CONSIDER ADOPTION OF CONSENT AGENDA

Any item placed on the consent agenda shall be removed and considered as a separate matter, if so requested by any member of Council, otherwise all items will be voted on with one (1) motion.

a.    October 13, 2021 Business Meeting Minutes Adoption.

b.    Appropriating $9,099 of fund balance from the Victim Witness Restricted Reserve and donations to the Victim Witness Program to the General Fund – second consideration/adoption of ordinance.

c.    Historical Commission Appointment:  Consider appointing a candidate to the Historical Commission for a four-year term ending August 31, 2025.

d.    Redevelopment and Housing Reappointment and Appointment:  Consider reappointing a member and appointing a candidate to the Redevelopment and Housing Authority Board, each for a four-year term ending August 31, 2025.

Service Recognition

Recognize certain individuals on their service and leadership during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Commissioner of the Revenue Accreditation

Receive a report from the Commissioner of the Revenue regarding Commissioner of the Revenue Office accreditation.

Public Hearing – Rezoning

Hold a public hearing to receive public comment on a request to rezone certain parcels from H-B (Highway Business) to L-B (Local Business).


10.

Rezone 1040 Reservoir Street – Second Consideration/Adoption of an Ordinance

Second consideration/adoption of an ordinance rezoning of 1040 Reservoir Street from RG-5, General Residential, to R-MF, Multi-Family Residential upon application by Mr. Jacob Turner.


11.

Code Amendments Chapter 14 Animals

Receive a report and consider introducing an ordinance regarding amendments to City Code Chapter 14, Animals.


12.

Appropriation Ordinances

Consider introducing and adopting the following appropriation ordinances:

a.    $124,589 in funding from the Community Service Block Grant CARES Act funding and $277,693 in funding from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Social Services to the Community Action Partnership of Staunton, Augusta, and Waynesboro (CAPSAW) fund. 

b.    $10,000 of Virginia Tourism Corporation Marketing Leverage Grant to the General fund.

c.    $2,000 donation from SOCA to the General fund.
