The Center

Rosenwald is called a community center, but without community support and involvement, it is simply a center. The community center houses the Department of Parks and Recreation's administrative offices, public meeting rooms, gymnasium, arts and crafts rooms, preschool rooms, dance room, and exercise room. The center is closed on Saturday and Sunday, except for special activities and classes. Operating hours may vary seasonally.

Open Gym

The gym is usually open to area residents, free of charge, during designated hours as indicated on the calendar. Please note however, that times and/or dates are subject to change. Participants are asked to sign in with the building supervisor upon arrival, and to remember that appropriate shoes must be worn in the gym.

Reserving a Room

Meeting rooms within the Rosenwald Community Center are available for reservation free of charge to community non-profit organizations during normal business hours, if those rooms are not scheduled for other activities. For-profit businesses will be charged for use. During times when the building would otherwise be closed, the fee schedule will apply to all organizations and individuals. The exception would be for organizations whose programs are co-sponsored by the Waynesboro Department of Parks and Recreation.

Gym Rental: $20.00/ hr.

Room Rental: $20.00/ hr.

A Request for Use of Facility Form needs to be completed and approved by a Parks and Recreation staff member. The form is doe 10 working days proir to the event. Payment is due 5 working days prior to the event.
